Who is Bente Bucker?
Head of Culture
Where are you from?
I grew up in Wormer, a village between Alkmaar and Amsterdam. When I was 18 I decided to move to Amsterdam and I still live there.
What did you study?
After 2 years of Media, Information and Communication at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, I switched to VU to study Communication Science.
What makes Dynamic People unique?
A little cliché, but still: the people! But I also think the flat organizational structure and room for initiative what makes Dynamic People unique.
What’s your role within Dynamic People?
I am responsible for the Marketing at Dynamic People. That can be very broad! From organizing events to webinars to internal drinks. But also keeping track of all new information and keeping the website up to date. I like to keep busy with everything and I like to be involved. Fortunately, there is a lot of room for this and you are given the freedom to do so.
What do you look for in a job, and what makes working for Dynamic People so much fun?
When I go work somewhere I think it is important that there is the freedom and space to develop yourself. I like to work with people and I like to be able to switch quickly, I thrive well in a organization where there is a flat organizational structure! This is all present at Dynamic People and that makes it very nice to work here. Initiative is highly appreciated and encouraged, which works very well for me. And just as important: we really are Team Dynamic People. In addition to work, boot camps are organized, but also drinks and game nights. That is also very important to me.
What are your ambitions?
I would love to take Dynamic People to a higher level. We are already growing rapidly, but there is always room for improvement! I hope that I can also contribute my part in this.
Do you have a particular passion/ hobby?
I like to be creative. That’s why I often make aftermovies of holidays or weekends away, or slide behind the piano after a long day of work. But also an afternoon of bouldering makes me very happy.
What, would you say, is your life motto?
Not necessarily a life motto, but a statement that I like to stick to in life:
“I’ve never done it before, so I think I can do it” (Pippi Longstocking)
