Who is Oscar Zeekant?
Manager Operations, Services & HR
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Purmerend; that’s in the Dutch province of Noord-Holland. Then I was in Amsterdam for a while, and now I’m living in Amstelveen. So I can just hop on my bike and ride to work… yes, I’m living the Dutch dream.
What did you study?
I studied mechanical engineering, commercial engineering, and then did graduate studies in Business Intelligence. I just keep learning every day…
What makes Dynamic People unique?
From the beginning, Dynamic People was active across the entire Dynamics 365 spectrum. Everyone is enthusiastic, and wants to make a success out of every project. Everyone is also very engaged and takes the initiative to start using and sharing the latest developments. It’s great to be a part of a group of entrepreneurs who are thinking with the customer, and building something with the customer, and being a part of their digital transformation.
What’s your role within Dynamic People?
I have a hybrid role; I’m involved both internally and externally in the organization and with our customers. For me it’s really great to be working with the Dynamics 365 material, coaching my coworkers, and at the same time having the opportunity to be a part of building Dynamic People’s success. Within the management team, I’m responsible for Operations and HR.
What do you look for in a job, and what makes working for Dynamic People so much fun?
An environment to grow in, where I can challenge and be challenged. That’s what we do for each other and for our customers. For me success is in the makeup of the team and what we do with it. Working hard, but also taking the time for sports and other activities. For me, independence and self-motivation is also important. We try to be a flat organization. The IT landscape is changing fast, which is why we spend a lot of time internally on innovation and new business cases.
Do you have a particular passion/ hobby?
I love sports of all kinds, but I’m particularly into water sports and sailing. I raced catamaran professionally for over 10 years, and I was on crews with some of the best in the world. It’s the kind of thing that demands the highest level of teamwork, and these are skills that I use every day.
